Employers who recruit at the Colorado School of Mines
must adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines, National
Association of Colleges and Employers Principles for Employment
Professionals, and the following:

Cancelled and Late Interview Schedules
To foster good relationships between employers and students,
the CSM Career Center encourages recruiters to show up for interviews
and complete all interview schedules. If schedules must be
cancelled, please inform your Assistant Director as soon
as possible.
• Employers must notify their Assistant Director of
cancelled recruiting dates a minimum of four days in advance.
• Employers must provide a letter or email of explanation to all
students on cancelled schedules, explaining future recruiting
plans. A copy of this document must be provided to the
Assistant Director.
• Late-arriving or early-departing employers also must provide
a letter or email to all affected students, copied to the
Assistant Director.

FALL 2008
October 1, 2008 - November 30, 2008
No recruiting Oct. 13 & 14[Fall Break]
No recruiting Thursday and Friday, November 27, 28 [Thanksgiving Break]

SPRING 2009
February 10, 2009 - April 24, 2009
No recruiting March 9 - March 13, 2009 (Spring Break)
No recruiting April 2-4, 2009 (E-Days)

Policies for Third-party Employment Services (TPES):

• Employment agencies, Temporary agencies acting as TPES, and Search firms: The Colorado School of Mines complies with the professional standards for the release of student educational information, as contained in the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) "Principles for Third-Party Recruiters." [http://www.naceweb.org/principles/principl.html#principles_for_third_party_recruiters]
• TPES will only be approved for posting positions for "experienced" positions requiring 2+ years of experience.

Job Posting Services:

• The CSM Career Center will approve job postings directly related to the technical majors and degrees granted by CSM.
• The CSM Career Center will not post non-degreed student jobs and internships that are compensated only by commission, or positions that require a fee payment prior to employment.
