Here is a list of some of the things we went over at the meeting yesterday:
There will be a speaker from NREL speaker on Monday April 21st. Earthworks will be working to put the word out about this to the student body.
Mike told us the campus energy audit is going well. Looks like the administration is doing a good job on this one. Earthworks is looking into getting signs (stickers perhaps) to give everyone a friendly reminder to turn off lights. We will also look into writing an article for the newspaper to spread awareness.
Everyone is still working on getting their donation letters out to local shop keepers. If you run out of letters Mike will be placing more in the Earthworks mail box. If they aren't there feel free to harass Mike (mgeorge@mines.edu).
We are still working on putting out a web survey during the week of earthday and we need your help in coming up with the questions. What would you like changed on campus?
We made some decisions on the bands that will play during our Eart Day celebration and will make our final decision by next week. If you have a band in mind please let us know by next weeks meeting. Speak now or forever hold your peace.
We took care of some Earth Day celebration buisness and now we should be getting some estimates on how much it will cost to pull it off. If you could please bring those estimates to the meeting next week or let me know if you can't that would be great.
I apologize if I forgot anything. Please let me know if there is anything you would liek me to add.
Thank You,
Bret Wilcox

The following is a resolution that ASCSM will be trying to pass at their meeting tonight. I realize that Earthworks is a organization focused on the enviroment and not a political organization, but it is in my opinion that this issue is so important that it must be brought to the forefront of the student body's attention by whatever means possible. No matter which way you stand on this issue if you have a strong opinion on this matter than I would encourage you to attend the meeting tonight. Don't let this bill speak for you without speaking for yourself.
