MEETING MINUTES

April 7, 2008

EBW,

This week's meeting will be in CO 137 from 12-1 as usual, lunch provided.

We are devoting this week to Climate Action Days, which is coming up April 16 - April 25. Plans are being set, speakers being roped in, forums, movies, and panels set up, and we need HELP! Please come and contribute to the final planning stages. If you have any questions or want to get involved, e-mail Jon Meuser (jmeuser@mines.edu), the organizer of CAD.

Also, in the next couple weeks, I will be stressing the organization of EBW, its direction, and its leadership. I will bring copies of the updated by-laws and will be asking for volunteers to fill the positions, maybe even adjust the current set-up. I've been way behind on this issue this year and I think EBW will be stronger next year with an organized group of leaders. If anyone cannot make it to tomorrow's meeting and wants to be involved in the leadership of this club (and change the meeting time to your liking), please let me know ASAP (jfish@mines.edu).

MEETING MINUTES 4/1/08 Attendance: Jason, Ashley, Shay, Rob, Natalie, Ana, Andrea, Alex, Warren, Taylor We discussed the recycling forum proposed for Climate Action Days, questions to ask the Mayor of Denver at his Young Symposium lecture on Monday, April 7, and the Ghana water pump project. Progress on the Senegal Desalinization project has slowed due to communication breakdowns, but we discussed ways around them. Rob Conley heads up the Senegal project (rconley@mines.edu) as this project looks to be a long-term devotion from EBW. On the bicycle share project, Shay reported that the potential poster designs advertising a general bike share program will be available at the next meeting (4/8). Hope to see many of you at tomorrow's meeting. I will send out an update e-mail on its proceedings as soon as I can. Jason Fish
