MEETING MINUTES
*December 2, 2007* EBW! We will meet once more this semester, this coming Tuesday, from 12-1 in CO 208. I know finals are coming up soon, but if you can make it to this meeting, you will not be disappointed. There will be PIZZA served, so I need EVERYONE WHO IS COMING TO RSVP TO ME BY MONDAY AT 5 PM so we can order enough food. We will be having several guests from a senior design group joining us to talk about a cool project they've been working on and want to pass along to us. They designed, built, and transported several models of a bicycle-powered water pump to Ghana. This project has great potential to carry on in our group. We will also be updating everyone on the bicycle and Senegal efforts. Last week, we met in the Student Center to collect more signatures for the recycling petition. If you have any petition sheets with signatures, BRING THEM TO THE MEETING ON TUESDAY. It is critical that we get these signatures. If you cannot make the meeting, contact me, jfish@mines.edu, before Wednesday, and we'll arrange a time to collect them. Thank you to all who have been gathering student and faculty support! THIS WEDNESDAY, December 5th, from 10am - 12pm in Student Center Ballroom D, the President's Council on Sustainability will be convening for its bi-annual meeting. Jon Meuser is organizing this event and we have been preparing for it for a while now. We hope to present the signatures gathered to the Council as evidence of student and faculty support for an improved recycling program. The meeting will also cover other issues on campus with Sustainability. It is open to anyone and everyone so show up if you're interested. Hope to see you all on Tuesday!
