MEETING MINUTES |
|---|
January 28, 2008 EBW, This last week's meeting was a little chaotic, but we did get some stuff done. Thank you to all who showed up and for your input and participation. LAST WEEK! We met in Ballroom C (apologies to all who went to Coolbaugh 208). We will, hopefully, never be in that location again. It was nice and big, but no non-Aramark food allowed, and the oranges, cookies, and juice I snuck in were a less-than-filling fare. We discussed advertising for EBW. Shay suggested giving some club information to a graphical arts class to design a poster for EBW that would catch the eye and which we could use in general to be more informative about our club. The bicycle project consumed the remainder of the meeting. Shay is part of an EPICS 2 group designing a campus bicycle program. We concluded this project could lead to cooperation with the city of Golden to insitute a public bike program across the city. We also decided to tie in all of these efforts with the Golden Optimists club and the ORC, as far as collecting, repairing, and supplying used bicycles. Several students suggested EBW become more involved in volunteer opportunities across the community (e.g. Habitat for Humanity). Finally, we discussed a revamping of the club website (look to http://www.mines.edu/stu_life/organ/ebw/ for the current setup; I think you'll agree there need to be some changes). THIS WEEK! We will be in COOLBAUGH 137 from 12-1 on Tuesday, January 29!!!! We have this room for the next three weeks thanks to Ashley. I will be organizing a less formal meeting in the next few weeks, a presentation, short film, etc... so we can have a little fun and not just a lot of crazy work. Please come this Tuesday. We'll be having pizza! RSVP to me, jfish@mines.edu, if you get a chance. I know this e-mail is on REALLY short notice, so we'll get some food anyway. Hope to see you all there!
