Why did CSM FCA/CCC take a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico?
God led this year's CSM FCA mission trip team to go "build hope" in Juarez over our spring break (3/18-25). We worked with a Christian organization, Amor Ministries, that builds houses for impoverished families in Mexico. Amor works with the local churches to find families in need and then builds simply-designed houses for them. These houses are in accord with the local community and constructed without power tools by teams that come to Juárez. Our team of 50 people was able to build two double-long houses in 4 days! Praise God for how He awesomely used this trip in the lives of those we served, as well as in our lives! PICTURES

Please continue to pray for those we ministered to. Pray that God's Holy Spirit would continue to work in lives, both of the Mexicans and the mission trip team. Praise God for giving us spiritual and physical strength! May He be glorified above all else because of this trip to Mexico! We would also greatly appreciate any financial contribution or tool donations that you can make toward our trip. The cost of our trip was around $500 per person. You may send donations to: Colorado School of Mines, Fellowship of Christian Athletes/SA, 1600 Maple Street, Golden, CO 80401. Please make checks payable to Colorado School of Mines with Fellowship of Christian Athletes written on the memo line. Contact John Agee if you have any questions about the trip or if you desire to make a tool donation. |
