The purpose of the Material Science and Engineering Club (MSEC) is to promote unity within the Metallurgical and Material Engineering Department by bringing together all societies (American Society of Materials (ASM), American Welding Society (AWS), Iron and Steel Society (ISS), and American Ceramics Society (ACerS)). There are many benefits of becoming a member of MSEC and Professional Societies such as: scholarships, book discounts, speaker luncheons, monthly dinner meetings for each society, professional contacts, graduate student mentors. To find out more about MSEC explore our website and come visit our department for a tour.

Have a question on your homework? Forgot how to write your report? Need some advice about school?
MSEC has advised a mentoring program by graduate students for undergraduate students. This is not scheduled tutoring, but more like having someone to turn to when you have a problem with homework or problems writing a lab report. Just email the graduate student of your choice and ask them if they can help you. For more information or questions email Juan Carlos Madeni.
