“Muslim Students Involvement in MSA” |
|
Why many students do not participate in the
MSA?
A main question opens up a big discussion
for all muslim students at CSM. Many
organizations struggle to attract members to
them. Most of the time people would blame
time or school obligations as excuses for
not involving within their organization. In
my view these excuses are neither convincing
nor acceptable. The reason is everyone
working in MSA is also student and has
school responsibilities too. However,
working in MSA did not interfere or
contradict with school obligations. On the
contrary, it gave them good credit in their
resumes and recognition through out school
community. Muslim students, regardless of
their ethnic or belief backgrounds, need to
put hard efforts to serve their organization
as whole not as an individual. Besides, they
need to work constantly aside with the MSA
committee to help building an effective
organization which serves to spread the good
image about Islam.
