The Muslim Students Association (MSA) was
established by dedicated Muslim students at
the Colorado School of Mines, Golden,
Colorado. The MSA is about the unity,
brotherhood, and sisterhood among Muslim
students of different origins,
nationalities, and ethnicities. They all
share the belief and faith in one God
(Allah-{SWT}), the last prophet Mohammad
(peace be upon him).
MSA was formed by a group of Muslim
students to achieve the following
objectives:
(i) To help new Muslim students adapt to
their new social and academic environment,
and to put them in touch with people from
their own faith.
(ii) To promote friendly relations with
other student associations present on
campus.
(iii) To advance awareness and understanding
of Islam on our campus so to clear any
misconceptions that may exist about Islam.
The activities of the Muslim Student
Association (MSA) include religious, social,
cultural, and community service projects.
The MSA holds lectures/seminars,
exhibitions, social gatherings, picnics and
sports. Activities like these serve as a
means of promoting friendship and
understanding among community.
The MSA seeks to help create an academically
productive and socially engaging environment
for Muslims at Colorado School of Mines. |
