Committees

Alumnae Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Alumnae Advisory Committee, AAC, is to guide and advise chapter officers. Its composition is alumnae from the Chartered Alumnae Club nearest our chapter. This group provides advice and supports decisions made by our members.

Awards Committee

Awards Committee submits recommendations for awards for the entire chapter or individual members to Pi Beta Phi Nationals or to Colorado School of Mines. This committee is composed of five members: two sophomores and three juniors or non-graduating seniors.

Bylaws Review Committee

The Bylaws Review Committee determines necessary revisions to the Colorado Delta Bylaws. The committee is composed of six members: the President, Treasurer, one senior, one junior, one sophomore, and run by the Secretary.

Executive Council

Executive Council creates the structure of the chapter. Executive Council is composed of elected officers typically holding two semester terms.

Grand Council

Grand Council is the governing body of Pi Beta Phi. Consisting of seven members, its job is to supervise the work of all divisions, and determine necessary policies. In addition to these duties, the Grand Council make bi-annual visits to each chapter.  The Colorado Delta chapter is the last link in the chain of inter-fraternity government.

National Panhellenic Council

The National Panhellenic Council is an organization established to foster inter-fraternity relationships, assist collegiate chapters of the NPC member groups, and push for high scholastic and social standards. Mines Panhellenic Council is the local governing body of the sororities on campus.  Mines Panhellenic Council is composed of an advisor and elected executive officers from each campus chapter.

Slating Committee

Slating Committee interviews potential chapter officers, selects the most qualified nominee for each office and presents this selection to the chapter. The Slate provides to its uncertain members guidance in voting. This committee is composed of seven members: two members from each class, (exclusive of the freshman class) and one Alumnae Advisory Committee member.

Standards Board

Standards Board handles diverse situations from comforting members with private issues to determining discipline for a breach in the Bylaws. Meetings are private and confidential. The committee is composed of four members: the Vice President of Moral Advancement, one senior, one junior, and one sophomore.
