Rose and Vicente Gonzales are 6th generation weavers, now residing in
Manassa, a small town near Antonito, located in
Southern Colorado.
The Gonzales' continue the family weaving
tradition by handing down
the ancestral skills to their children, Betsy, James, and Travis. Today,
the Gonzales continue to use their creativity to earn a living by
offering you these colorful and affordable
hand-woven
items. All designs are woven into the wool, not an appliqué.
We, the Gonzales Family, weave with 100% wool on a two- harness loom. We
specialize in small items, including coasters, placemats, table runners,
coin purses, bookmarks, and eyeglass cases. We are located in the San
Luis Valley, surrounded by the San Juan and Sangre de Cristo Mountains,
not far from Colorado's oldest church in Conejos and the oldest town, San
Luis
