We will meet with students to discuss their use of alcohol or drugs. We help students examine their patterns of use, as well as the triggers or causes of their problematic behaviors. Students can then develop skills to problem-solve and make healthier choices in response to daily pressures or triggers. The primary goal is to prevent further interference with students' academic and personal well-being.
We also meet with students who are referred by the Dean of Students, Student Life, CSM Campus Security, and Golden Municipal Courts.
Once a thorough assessment has been completed, students are directed to the interventions that will be most helpful in resolving their problems.
