Trailhead: Portal Calendar

Shared Personal and Resource Calendars

With the Trailhead/Portal Calendar services individuals can share calendars with others. This can be done with personal calendars that are owned by individuals or via resource calendars that are owned by the system. The advantage of resource calendars is that they can be maintained and passed on as jobs, staff or group members change. With a personal calendar, if an indvidual leaves Mines, their Trailhead account and any personally owned calendars may be removed.

With either personal calendars or resource calendars, access and permission to the calendars can be configured.

To request a portal resouce calendar, please submit via the Mines Help Center (http://www.mines.edu/helpdesk/). Please include the following information for each resource calendar requested:

  1. Resource Calendar Name: This should be fairly descriptive, including the room number if the resource is a room. For example, "GC 257: AC&N 20 Seat PC Lab", "GC 237: AC&N Conference Room", "Steinhauer Field House".
  2. Resource Calendar Description: This can be the same as the Name or can include additional information. The description can also be modified by the primary owner after the resource calendar has been created.
