Swapping Ctrl and Caps Lock, per user, on Win2K and WinXP
For one Windows 2000 machine and two Windows XP (Home) machines I have
successfully used the instructions "Swapping CapsLock and Control on
NT 4.0" given at
http://bmrc.berkeley.edu/people/chaffee/swapnt.html. This even
gives a way to temporarily disable the mapping.
This (says it) works by setting registry values. It does not
provide a programmatic a way to set them back. Apparently you would
have to do this by hand, after carefully reviewing what keys had been
set (listed at the above site) and what they should be set to.
Good luck!
