The Colorado School of Mines (CSM) Planning and Construction is responsible for guiding how the campus will grow in the future. They are also responsible for protecting our unique design features and solving growth problems such as parking, traffic, space, outside encroachment and environmental issues.

CSM Planning is interested in computerized visualization techniques to encourage campus community participation. A three-dimensional GIS simulation always communicates more effectively than two-dimensional maps. And being able to experience a proposed development project by walking, driving, or even flying over it while the project is still in the conceptual stage.
