spam

A collection of functions based in R/Fortran for sparse matrix algebra.
Written by Reinhard Furrer.

The package spam (Sparse Matrix algebra) is required by the package fields.

Current stable version:

spam_0.15-2.tar.gz (11 September 2008)

Current development version:

spam_0.15-2.tar.gz (11 September 2008)

Bugs:

For the stable version spam_0.15-2 I have no reported bugs.
spam_0.15-[1,0] had a few bugs, namely inconsistencies with 'nearest.dist', Cholesky decomposition with empty diagonal, additionally 'dim<-.spam' and 'spam.list' may clash.
With spam_0.13-1 parts of ade4 stopped working. The error is caused by the by the construction of .Spam. Later versions do not use the .Spam construct.
If you would like to add to this list, let me know.

Spam in literature:

spam was used or cited in the following papers/reports/...:
  • Furrer, R. and Sain, S. R. (2007). Spatial Model Fitting for Large Datasets with Applications to Climate and Microarray Problems. Submitted to Statistics and Computing.
If you would like to add to this list, let me know.
