Individual greenhouse gas emissions from the EPA. Much information from the US Environmental Protection Agency about individual greenhouse gas emissions that includes a calculator for computing your carbon footprint and action items to reduce this footprint.
The New Hampshire Carbon Challenge calculator. An online calculator to compute your carbon footprint and investigate steps to reduce this footprint.
Carbon calculator for flying. This calculator lets you pick a flight, and it computes the CO2 produced and gives background information about the environmental impact of your flight.

Oil shockwave, a case study from the National Commission on Energy Policy on the consequences of a disrupted oil supply.
McKinsey 2007 report of US CO2 emissions, which shows an inventarization of actions, their costs, for reducing CO2 emissions in the USA. The conclusion is that a significant reduction is feasible at limited cost, and without a drastic change in life-style.
