For example, many students in our Music, Audio Engineering and Recording Arts minor have gone on to careers in the music industry leveraging their technical backgrounds with their passion for music. Other students have used skills and the experience they’ve gained from our Ethics Bowl team to pursue careers in law.

Dr. Jon Leydens

DR. JON LEYDENS

Dr. Jon A. Leydens is a Professor of Engineering Education Research in the Division of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM). Dr. Leydens’ research interests are in three areas of engineering education: sociotechnical thinking, communication, and social justice.

Recently, Dr. Leydens was selected as a 2023 ASEE Hall of Fame Inductee by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
