CASA Peer Advising

The CASA Peer Advising program connects students to upper-level peers who are personable, supportive, and understanding of the needs of Mines students. Peer Advisors are an integral part of CASA because they offer an invaluable and genuine student perspective on courses, registration, major exploration, and Mines academic resources.  In addition, Peer Advisors share their time management, study skills, and exam preparation techniques with students looking to reinforce their skills for academic success. Jake Van Bramer Senior, Petroleum Engineering

Hi, I’m Jacob. I’m from Parker, Colorado and I am a senior studying Computer Science + Robotics and Intelligent Systems. Fav Thing About Mines: The awesome community and people that I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the last 3 years. Tips for Fellow Students: DON’T PUT OFF YOUR HOMEWORK! Even if it’s easy, get it done early. Fun Facts: I can play 5 instruments (Guitar, Mandolin, Ukulele, Clarinet, Piano), I’ve never broken a bone and my favorite place to eat in Golden is Bob’s Atomic Burgers.
