FIRST YEAR STUDENTS – Registration Advisement for SPRING 2025

first year students spring 2025 Group Advising

Attend group advising for helpful information to best prepare for upcoming registration. A general recorded version is also available on the Canvas site. Note: First-year, first-semester students will NOT require a registration pin to enroll in spring 2025 coursework.

Sessions are listed below.  Use the links at the top of the table to register.

STEP 1:

Register for and attend virtual group advising.  Group advising will go over how to find and understand degree plans, understand credit transferred in, and determine what classes to select for the spring 2025 semester.

A general pre-recorded session is also available in Canvas (click the big blue button above for access). Note the general session will have less major-specific information and does not include an option for you to ask your own questions.

STEP 2:

Go through your degree plan and credits, look at courses required in fall of sophomore year to see what prerequisites they require you to take in spring 2025.  This will help inform you prior to attending group advising. You may think of some questions to ask during the session!

STEP 3:

Register for your classes.  Registration begins the week of November 11 and the Registrar’s Office will email information on finding your individual time ticket for when your registration opens. You can also access this information in your Student Profile (Student Services card in Trailhead).

First-year, first-semester students will not require a registration pin. Registration pins are required for first-years if their GPA is below 2.5 after the end of the first semester.
