The future of Exchange email at Mines

Now in progress for users of Mines Exchange email and calendar: A migration to a beautiful new web interface, vastly expanded online storage space, and more.

Over the next two months, faculty and staff accounts will be migrated to Microsoft Office 365 in the cloud. CCIT will coordinate the migration carefully department by department. You’ll see periodic Daily Blast announcements as we move toward an elegant and powerful new email and calendar system.

Wondering how this might affect your current workflow? Check our Status Report page for the latest tips, hints, and timetables: https://www.mines.edu/ccit/faculty-staff-email-online/

Bonus: The new email system is part of Office 365, an online version of Microsoft Office that puts most of the functions of Office into your browser — or onto your phone.

Members of the Mines community are also eligible for Office 365 Pro Plus benefits, including installation of up to five physical copies of Microsoft Office Professional on personally owned computers: https://www.mines.edu/ccit/software-title/office-365/

Change is coming now. Feel free to address your questions about Office 365 or the coming email migration to postmaster@mines.edu.
