Interest/Activities: fishing, boating, and family
Mines Advice: Surround yourself with people who inspire you.
Interest/Activities: planning events, traveling, reading, hiking, camping, skiing, boating and hanging with the family.
Mines Advice: Visit your top schools and gather as much information as possible about those schools. You want to make sure your choice is the right fit for you!
Mines Advice: One of the most important tasks I’ve faced over the years has been to dispel the myth that Mines is not survivable. If a new student has a solid high school background in math and science, and couples this with a strong work ethic, achieving success at Mines is within reach.
Interest/Activities: running, biking, hiking, books and literature, cooking, and languages
Mines Advice: Study abroad. I promise you won’t regret it
Interest/Activities: exploring all that CO has to offer, trying new recipes, and learning that bikes have frame sizes, and more specifically that a small frame is not appropriate for a 6’ tall female
Mines Advice: If you’re interested in CSM, plan a visit, and don’t be afraid to ask questions while you are here.
Interest/Activities: family, photography, outdoor adventures, and MMA
Mines Advice: Eating healthy will give you the focus and energy you need. Finding presence will give you your purpose and bring about creativity.
Interest/Activities: world travel, reading non-fiction historical, political or sociology books, creative writing, photography, hiking, music and theater fan. Also a Rockies and Yankees fan.
Mines Advice: Seek balance in all you do.
Interest/Activities: Pi, Trail Running, Jump Roping, Pizza, Futbol
Mines Advice: If you like or are even good at math and science, become an engineer!
Andrea Salazar Morgan
Interest/Activities: Anything in the Colorado outdoors! But specifically hiking, camping, and kayaking with my family and friends
Mines Advice: There are so many resources to help you through Mines – Your fellow students, study groups, tutoring, faculty, staff, professional societies, CSM101 Mentors and Peer Mentors, Academic Excellence Workshops, to name just a few. We’re invested in your success at Mines!
