COVID-19 Cases at Colorado School of Mines

This dashboard reports on confirmed COVID-19 cases within the Colorado School of Mines community that have been voluntarily shared with the university. The source of confirmation is either our on-campus community testing program (which began August 17) or tests administered through the Mines Student Health Center, primary care physicians or other off-campus testing sites.

Mines’ community testing program is being managed through a partnership with COVIDCheck Colorado. Rather than focus on symptomatic or randomized testing, this proactive regimen seeks to test all on-campus residents on a repeating two-week cycle. As a result, all students living in Mines residence halls, 1750 Jackson, Mines Park and fraternity and sorority houses (including those not owned by Mines) are tested every two weeks—as are on-campus faculty, teaching assistants and staff who elect to participate. The goal is to expand surveillance testing to students living off campus in the near future.

These numbers reflect the cumulative number of campus cases reported since August 17, 2020. The eight (8) confirmed on-campus cases between mid-March and August 16 are no longer included in this tally. This dashboard is updated each Tuesday and Friday.

On-Campus COVID-19 Testing Results

Colorado School of Mines has partnered with COVIDCheck Colorado, a social benefit enterprise of the Gary Community Investment Company, to implement a COVID-19 testing program on the Mines campus.

The program is focused on residence halls, 1750 Jackson, Mines Park, and fraternities and sororities, as well as on-campus employees (including teaching assistants) who elect to participate. The program will soon begin testing other students at regular intervals.

NOTE: The data below includes only the testing conducted by COVIDCheck on campus and does not include any testing performed by the Mines Student Health Center. Total test results and total positive cases are updated each Tuesday and Friday. We’re also including snapshots of each two-week testing cycle for comparison purposes.
