Open to students interested in building resilience skills to succeed at Mines and in life. 50 minute workshops are held on the 2nd floor of the Wellness Center. Space is limited, RSVP to reserve your spot. Snacks provided.

EQ For The Workplace

Want to know how to put your best foot forward in your workplace? Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is critical to our success in our lives, and can be especially critical to our success in our careers. In this workshop you’ll learn about EQ, what skills and strengths you already possess and how to capitalize further on your EQ skill set.

TAO: Anxiety

Did you know that anxiety is the number 1 mental health concern among college students? Come learn more about the different types of anxiety, physiological characteristics of anxiety, practices that worsen anxiety, and ways to cope. This session will incorporate TAO (Therapist Assisted Online) that you can continue using after the session.

Join us as we talk about adjustment and relationship concerns and help you improve both your daily functioning and your connection with others. Too busy to take care of yourself? Tempted to keep pushing through? Don’t! Self-care is vital to living a healthy, high quality life. Come join us to review self-care strategies and ways to get back on track with prioritizing YOU.

Celebrate Like An Engineer

Wednesday April 10th @ 12:00 pm

How do you have a good time, relax, kick back, loosen up? Come share with your peers about ways to enjoy E-Days with safety and responsibility in mind! This workshop will focus on ways to engage in fun without relying on drugs or alcohol as the only option, educate on the mind/body effects of substances to reduce risks, and support individual and community safety in a festive atmosphere. Sober fun is the goal, but acceptance of risks is the reality, so come and talk to us about how you and others can “Celebrate Smart” at E-Days!

Do you spend more time focusing on your strengths or weaknesses? Come spend 50 minutes highlighting the qualities that make you great! You will leave this workshop feeling better about yourself than when you came in.

Finish Strong

Did you overdo it at E-Days? Over-indulge or do something you weren’t proud of? Come to this workshop to focus on bouncing back, whether it’s physically, emotionally or socially. We will share and educate on ways to take care of our physical and mental health, how to repair relationships or find our motivation to finish out the semester on a strong note!
