Hao ZhangHao Zhang is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee in 2014, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009, and the B.S. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2006. His research interests include Human-centered robotics, visual perception, robot learning, human-robot interaction, human-robot teaming, and field robotics.

“I am a computer scientist and roboticist working on robot perception, learning and adaptation, and decision making to make robots smarter to work alongside people. Our research interest focuses on integrating the strengths of humans and robots working together in time-critical and safety-critical scenarios. The application domains include search and rescue, assistive robotics, and robot-assisted surveying.”
