Effective immediately, the Chemical Storage and Distribution Facility (Chem Store in Coolbaugh) will no longer have walk-up window service. EHS will have a few staff members on campus Monday-Friday and will shift to an on-demand delivery service model. Send questions to: CSDF@mines.edu.
- Chemical Requisition and Delivery: EHS will continue to accept and process chemical requisitions online. Your order will be hand delivered to your laboratory as identified on your chemical requisition form. For materials that require refrigeration, please be sure to indicate in the comments section the times when someone will be available to accept the chemical delivery and place the items in the appropriate location.
- Hazardous waste pickup: Hazardous waste pick-ups will continue. Do not bring your chemical waste to the CSDF. Please submit a pick-up request online, and EHS will come get the items from the location you identify in the submittal.

Obtaining new hazardous waste containers: If you need additional waste containers, send an email to CSDF@mines.edu with your waste container needs. We will make arrangements to get you what you need.

Obtaining safety glasses and gloves: If you need lab gloves or safety glasses, you can order them using our online chemical requisition form — just put in the number of boxes and sizes needed in the “Additional Comments” section of the form.

Gas cylinder pick-up: If you need to obtain gas cylinders from the CSDF storage area, plan on visiting the CSDF between 9 a.m. and noon. We will keep the side door on the loading dock unlocked so you can get to the cylinders.
Lock shop available by work order, appointment only
Starting Thursday, March 19, the lock shop will take requests through the FAMIS work order system or by appointment only. If you have an access need, contact Access Services by email at accessservices@mines.edu.
