The following message was sent to all Mines faculty and staff on 4/9/20:

Dear Mines faculty and staff,

Beginning next week, we will be holding virtual town halls to update you on the work underway and ahead as Mines continues to answer the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that you will join us as we recognize the tremendous efforts of our community over the past month, share our thoughts on what we need to be prepared for in the months to come, and answer the questions that are on your minds.

We’re holding four separate one-hour sessions in the hopes that we can tailor our updates to you, your areas of interest and even your specific questions. You are welcome, however, to join whichever session that best fits your schedule regardless of your reporting organization.  Please RSVP for the Zoom Webinar session you plan to attend by clicking on the registration link provided below. You may register up to the start of each Town Hall session, however, each session is limited to 500 participants so we encourage you to register promptly.

  • Thursday, April 16 at 11 a.m. (Student Life)
  • Thursday, April 16 at 2 p.m. (Finance, Administration & Operations)
  • Friday, April 17 at 11 a.m. (Academic Affairs/Research)
  • Monday, April 20 at 4 p.m. (Academic Affairs/Research)

Also, please take an additional minute to share your questions and comments with us in advance by using this form. You will have until noon on Monday, April 13, to do so. We’ll use your input to shape each program and discussion.  We will activate the Q&A function during the Town Hall, but given time constraints, submitting your question prior to Monday, April 13 at Noon will help ensure that we can address the most pressing issues of our community.

Thank you for all you are doing. We look forward to speaking with you in days ahead.
