Coping Through COVID

Navigating the global COVID-19 pandemic can take an emotional toll—especially for those of us already living with anxiety or other mental health concerns. Many of us may experience a range of emotions, thoughts and reactions associated with social distancing and isolation. It can be normal to experience a mix of emotions, uncertainty, anxiety, fear or even calm given the upheaval in our daily lives.

Every Oredigger is here for you—even in today’s socially distanced Zoom world. Below you will find all sorts of mental health and coping resources for students, faculty and staff—all of which are accessible from home.

At Mines, you are not alone.

Remember: The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a 24/7 confidential resource for anyone who is feeling emotionally distressed or suicidal. When you call 1-800-273-8255 or text “TALK” to 741741, you will be connected with a local crisis worker via phone or chat who you’ll be able to talk with. There is always someone there to listen and support you!
