The Heating Plant is responsible for round the clock steam production and distribution throughout campus.

Heating Plant

Operation and maintenance of 2 50,000 lbs./hour Victory Energy water tube boilers.
Operation and maintenance of 1 70,000 lbs./hour Nebraska water tube boiler.
Operation and maintenance of 2 200 BHP Clayton Steam Generators.
Maintain strict water chemical treatment program for health and longevity of campus boilers and piping.
Adjust steam pressure as temperature varies throughout seasons.
Maintain 4 air compressors, 2 water softeners, 5,000 gallon #2 fuel oil system, 1 condensate polisher, multiple steam heat exchangers and various pumps in the heating plant, and the back-up generator.
