Offers a variety of health and health education including parenting classes and support services, ESL, and computer skills training. Provides assistance for newly arrived immigrant families who are experiencing isolation, anxiety, and cultural challenges.

Provides a bilingual program for Spanish-speaking students, Spanish language arts at secondary schools, and ESL programs. DPS offers language courses in Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Heritage Spanish Language Arts, Japanese, and Lakota. Newcomer Centers is available for students new to the United States, have a history of interrupted education, and have minimal literacy skills in their native language and English. There are various locations for Newcomer Centers. Zone Schools is available if a student’s school does not provide the desired Multilingual Education Services.

Offers programs for women who are pregnant or have new babies and parenting. Provides therapy services, postpartum depression groups, parenting program for mothers of children 3-6 years old, workshops on relationships and communication skills for couples, and oral health education.

Provides classes and workshops in English and Spanish at a very low cost or for free. Classes change frequently but have included Zumba, Nutrition, Computer Tutoring, Women’s Support Group, Yoga, Tae-Kwon-Do, and Music. Offers opportunities to be involved in the Safety Action Committee, raises awareness of the importance of limiting sugary drinks, and has a youth led bike library and shop.

Operates six early learning centers that provide early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Offers programs to parents to help develop positive parent-child relationships, engage in their child’s education and transitions, advocate for their children’s needs, and build connections to the Mile High Early Learning community. Offers book clubs for parents whose children are not enrolled in early childhood education programs from birth to age three.

Offers a 30 week after school program from mid-September to mid-May. The program is available for K- 5 students and provides snacks, literacy support, and activities. Some locations that currently offer the program is Alice Terry Elementary, College View Elementary, Harris Park Elementary, Mesa Elementary, and University Prep on Arapahoe St. And Steele St.
Provides a free 6-week full day summer program that includes instruction, social emotional learning, and activities. Transportation is provided at select locations and meals and snacks are included. There is also a 6-week kindergarten readiness summer program for students starting kindergarten in the Fall.

Denver offers a variety of recreations centers and other facilities that have gyms, pools, recreational activities, and volunteer opportunities. Outdoor activites often include equipment in the price and sometimes transportation.

Features historical Coors objects, a hands-on gallery for families, a gift shop, and displays that highlight the City’s collection of 15K historic objects.
Offers stand from local businesses that promote different types of foods and artisan products.
Visitor center with exhibits on dinosaurs and fossils, plus a gift shop, picnic tables and a trail.
