The Iota Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi strives on our four pillars: sisterhood, generosity, innovation, and character. With these qualities being our main focus as we strive to grow our organization and community, our sorority has contributed to many successes. Throughout the year, we participate in sisterhood and philanthropic events that help raise awareness to women’s heart health. We are very passionate about giving back to the Alpha Phi Foundation as well as our campus and community. We are proud members of Alpha Phi and proud to be an Oredigger as we look to continue to be involved throughout campus and strengthen our sisterhood.

deia position statement

The Iota Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi values sisterhood that lasts a lifetime, the value of scholarship, service performed hand and hand and heart to heart, the pioneering of leadership, the bond of loyalty, and high expectations for character development. Members of Alpha Phi are neither selected nor rejected based upon age, religion, individual political affiliation, race, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability. Membership in Alpha Phi is open to any individual who identifies as a woman by the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The Iota Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi strives to form this unique sisterhood, which is rooted in our pillars but strengthened in the relationships built, through the opportunity of each potential new member going through formal recruitment.

Red Dress Gala: our largest event and most well known philanthropy throughout campus. Alpha Phi holds a gala every Spring which includes a dinner, silent auction, heart health speaker, and other small activities.

Mac N Phis: On the day of Mac N Phis, we sell and deliver Mac N Cheese all across campus making it a student favorite!

Alpha Traz:  kicks off E-Days with a fun activity everyone can participate in. Students and faculty volunteer to be jailbirds and seek help from other students to pay their bail by the end of the event!

Heart Health Week: Not only does Heart Health Week raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation, it also raises awareness for heart health. During this week, we hold a mini event each day such as passing out heart health snacks and facts or hosting a fitness class!
