New Employee Information
Welcome to Mines!
We are glad you have made the choice to join the Mines community. This page will provide you with links to the required new hire forms that will allow us to complete the hiring process. Please select the correct new hire packet for your employment type.
Please print and complete forms prior to your first visit to the MAPS (Mines Administrative Processing) Office. Faculty and staff should read and become familiar with the school policies available below on the Policies link.
New Employee (including Faculty) Onboarding
A new employee’s first days, weeks and months are filled with new information, a fair amount of administration, and lots of questions. Their success begins with an organized onboarding experience to help with their learning as well as the ability to build connections with fellow employees. Human Resources has designed an onboarding experience to welcome Mines’ employees (including faculty members) by providing resources and learning tools needed to excel.
All employees, including faculty, are required to attend New Employee Orientation at a minimum. This new employee onboarding experience includes subsequent optional activities occurring throughout Year 1 (i.e. Year of Excellence) and is not intended to replace departmental assimilation.

THE CLERY ACT AND CAMPUS SECURITY REPORT
The Colorado School of Mines Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report contains valuable information for all campus community members. The report is designed to inform you of campus crime and fire statistics and provide security policy statements as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (the Clery Act), a federal law requiring institutions of higher education to annually disclose this information.
You can learn more and read the report by heading over to the Mines Campus Safety website.
