Join the First-Ever Asian-Themed Book Club at Mines!

The Mines Asian Community Alliance (MACA) is pleased to announce the first Asian-themed book club at Mines for faculty and staff! Please join us as we discuss books by Asian authors with themes that focus on Asian culture, history, identity and the experiences of living in the United States.

Book Club Details

  • Read one book per semester
  • Meet for 30-45 minutes once per month (in person/virtually). The meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at 12:10 pm. The first meeting is on Wednesday, September 14th. Location Green Center 200D. You are welcome to bring a lunch.
  • Copies of the book will be provided for MACA members (Join us), courtesy of funding from MACA.

The book we are reading for the fall 2022 semester is Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning by Cathy Park Hong.

We plan to start reading by the first day of the semester, Monday, August 22. If you are interested in joining, please join MACA and RSVP to Michele Douglass (mdouglass@mines.edu) by Friday, August 12.
