After May 1, students who have submitted their intent to enroll will receive a Blaster Book New Student & Family Guide in the mail. This guide is intended to help you work through the steps needed to start at Mines and dives deeper into the resources & services here to help you. This is a great guide for your family and support system as well!

Helluva Welcome

Details

In August, all incoming students will take part in Helluva Welcome! Students will spend time getting to know campus, building connections in the Rocky Mountains at Oredigger Camp, and will participate in longstanding campus traditions like the M Climb!

First 60 days of Classes

Details

Elevate Your Mines focuses on programs happening on-campus during the first 60 days of the fall semester. This program features a first day photos event and a compiled calendar for students to reference throughout their start at Mines.

CSM101

Fall Semester

Details

CSM101 is our required first-year seminar course that students take during their first semester at Mines. This course helps equip you with the resources to succeed and thrive  during your time at Mines. The class is taught by a faculty or staff member and two upper-class Peer Mentors. Topics covered include major exploration, study skills, and campus resources.
