In the Spotlight
An Excellent Mentor

Willie Konishi
My name is Willie Konishi and I’m an Environmental Engineering student from Scottsdale, AZ (I love the summer heat and dread the winter cold). I love my role as a peer mentor because I get to work with almost a hundred amazing, enthusiastic and accepting students who all care about making the Mines experience one-of-a-kind! I am a third-year peer mentor and have been a lead now for two years. As a lead, I organized a fall service event for over 1200 first-year students last year and am excited to work on Fall Kickoff this year. This program has given me lifelong memories and experiences that will forever change who I am.
