Alderson Hall 281 – Cash Lab

Our lab develops nanoparticle based sensors and diagnostics to profile metabolism in biomedical and environmental applications. We study spatial and temporal changes in metabolites in complex systems to monitor changes to these systems from internal or external perturbations.

We have developed nanosensors which we used to profile antibiotic susceptibility of P. aeruginosa infections (in collaboration with Children’s Hospital of CO, and UC Denver Medical School). In the future, this approach will let clinicians better determine what antibiotic to administer to patients with cystic fibrosis to help eradicate lung infections.
