Brown Hall 306 and 313 – Antennas, RFID and Computational Electronics and Antenna Measurements Lab

These two labs provide fabrication and measurement facilities for antennas for frequencies up to 20 GHz. It also house the computing facilities for simulation and analysis of new antennas and RFID tag designs. Development and testing of advanced computational methods are also major research tasks of the ARC lab.

We are currently working on the design of circularly polarized antennas for RFID handheld reader and circularly polarized RFID tags for metals. These two applications are for localization of miners. A joint project with Mining Department. Advanced computational methods are also being developed for accurate and fast electromagnetic simulations.
