Maple Hall

Opened in 2011, Maple Hall was the third residence hall to join the Mines campus. Maple Hall is a 5-story residence hall located across from Mines Market dining and 17th Street. Maple Hall is composed of a horseshoe shape with a north and south wing surrounding Maple’s front courtyard. This community features Jack and Jill suite-style living communities where each suite is formed by two rooms connected by a shared bathroom.

At the main entrance of Maple Hall students have access to a grand piano, pool table, lounge seating, and the front desk. On the north side of the building residents can find a kitchen with a large seating area including a flatscreen TV, projector, and whiteboards used for meetings, studying, hanging out, and more! A lounge room, and a study room can also be found on Maple’s first floor.  

At the lower/basement level residents can find the laundry room, vending machines, and the resident bike and storage locker. Additionally, the lower level offers a quiet room that features comfortable seating and a ping-pong table.  

The garden level, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, floors of Maple are where residents reside. Each floor includes one social lounge with a flatscreen TV and lounge seating. Additionally, a study room with a whiteboard, tables, and seating is located in each wing.  

Outside of Maple Hall, the north and south wing horseshoe around the front courtyard. Residents can hammock, play outdoor games, and study outside on a warm Colorado day. Located out of the lower level towards the back of Maple is a smaller courtyard with bench seating. 

Maple hall includes the Engineering Grand Challenges SLC and the sophomore Environmental Justice SLC.
