Alex-Dixon-headshot-square-002-1-300x300 Alex DixonDr. Alex Dixon received his BA from Carleton College in 2009 and his Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Denver in 2016. He conducted the majority of his graduate work at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory where he studied charge transport mechanisms in organic photovoltaics.

Upon graduation he took a post doc position at University of Colorado, Boulder, studying charge transport layers in perovskite photovoltaics in the Shaheen lab. This was followed by another postdoctoral position at the University of Nova Gorica in Slovenia, where he studied the behavior of novel 2D material-based devices (and explored much of Europe).

His research interests include solar cell physics, organic electronics, perovskites, ferroelectrics, 2D electronic materials, and any other interesting thin film electronic devices.
