Research Machine Shop
PLEASE NOTE: Services are available only for Mines affiliated projects.
The Research Machine Shop is your on-campus source for end-to-end, turnkey design, and machining services. We supply the custom instruments to help you achieve your research objectives.
The shop is a 4,300 square-foot manufacturing facility, housed on the first floor of the GRL Annex building, and equipped with a wide variety of manual machinery and hand tools.
We regularly machine aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and plastics, but also work with high-performance alloys (ask us about your application). Our space includes a large area for assembling very large (think 20-foot trailer) pieces of equipment.
We also offer consulting and design services. Check out our project gallery.
