Renewable Energy Career Fair – Tuesday, April 13th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Learn from a panel of industry professionals about the job market, emerging trends, opportunities, and career paths in renewable energy. Online networking opportunities will be available. Learn more here.

Sustainability Trivia Night – Monday, April 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Zoom
Think you know a bit about sustainability? If so, make a team and join Mines Green Team’s first-ever Sustainability Kahoot! We will recommend a dinner before the event! Winning teams will win prizes worth up to $15. So come ready to win!

Carbon Cube Setup – Tuesday, April 20th and Friday, April 23rd, Stratton Commons
Help Mines Sustainability set up its carbon cube for Earth Week! This volunteer event will bring together sustainability-minded students to set up a 12′ by 12′ carbon cube that visualizes what one metric ton of CO2 looks like! If you are interested in helping with setup and getting a burrito while you’re at it, sign up here. There will be FREE BURRITOS!

State of Sustainability Webinar – Wednesday, April 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Be the first to learn about new campus solar and robotic vehicles! Join Mines Sustainability and Operations for an update on campus sustainability projects and events.

EARTH DAY FAIR – Thursday, April 22nd   from 11:00am to 2:00pm, Stratton Commons
Highlights include a 12-foot carbon cube, solar demonstration, student club tables, art show, and food! We will also announce the winners of the Solar Challenge and Residence Hall Challenge! On display will be a new autonomous shuttle coming to Mines soon! Watch a video here

EARTH DAY Mines Greenhouse Tour – Thursday, April 22nd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Mines Park
Wanting more after the Earth Day Fair? Come see Mines’ new greenhouse designed and built by students as part of a senior design project. Free plant giveaway when you bring your own mug/cup/pot! Learn more here! Route to the greenhouse!

Humanitarian Engineering Symposium Session #4 – Thursday, April 22nd from 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Join us for our fourth and final symposium session as we wrap up this series on Environmental Justice! Our final speaker will be Abel Chavez from Western Colorado University. 

Virtual EV Workshop – Friday, April 23rd from 12:00pm to 1:00pm
In celebration of Earth Week, join Drive Electric Colorado in partnership with Mines Sustainability to learn more about electric vehicles and watch President Johnson test drive an EV. This workshop will be an hour long and give you all of the info you need to be a successful EV owner yourself!

EV Car Show and Caught Green-handed Awards – Friday, April 23rd from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, Maple Plaza
Join Mines Sustainability in an outdoor open forum about EVs. A new Ford Mach-E will be on display and our team will field questions about what it is like driving an EV. Then, at the end of the EV Car Show, this year’s Caught Green-handed awards will be given out! Be there to see what Mines students, staff, and departments won big on sustainability this year.
