Learn2Teach will enable you to observe excellent teachers, understand how to build classroom culture and develop lessons, as well as receive frequent feedback and coaching, all while receiving a $34,000 salary and full benefits! Apprentice Teachers receive professional development over the course of the year from both their mentor teachers and additional campus-based programming. They are ideally placed in cohorts of 3-4 at a campus to create a fun peer learning environment, as well!

This is a free (no-cost!) pathway, but if Apprentice Teachers are interested in pursuing a teaching license, that’s an option too. We have local partners that can support you! At an additional cost, you may earn your license within the year.

Aside from DSST’s Apprentice Teacher programs – they’d love for Mines students to consider them for lead teacher positions if they are highly qualified (36 credit hours or pass the PRAXIS). In these cases, they would really value field experience in the application, but again, don’t require licensure.
