Hayden Cooreman is a senior studying Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines serving as the Student Representative to the Board of Trustees. While originally hailing from Michigan, he has called Colorado home longer than anywhere else.

While in high school, Hayden served as the student representative to the TCA Mental Health Committee and worked with Forge Evolution on youth criminal-justice reform. He’s previously worked as an independent web marketer and graphic designer before taking a position at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. In 2019, he left to pursue his Mines education with the support of the Harvey Scholars Program.

At Mines Hayden has served in a number of roles including undergraduate researcher, Mines Foundation intern, teaching assistant, U-CLIMB peer mentor, and as the President of the Residence Hall Association. He is a part of the McBride Honors Program, Blue Key Honor Society, Undergraduate & Graduate Student Governments, and Kickstart. Recently, Hayden won the Student Philanthropist of the Year and CSM Honors Service Award for his contributions to the Mines community. During his senior year, in addition to serving on the Board, Hayden is continuing his academic research and working for Northrop Grumman as a Software/Systems Engineering Intern on the OUTMATCH Independent Research & Development Team. When not studying or working, Hayden is an avid photographer, mountain biker, and reader.
