Stewart A. Bliss is a Senior Consultant with a broad range of expertise in the areas of business, governmental affairs and mergers and acquisitions, with specific emphasis on energy, technology, energy and industrial distribution corporations. He presently offices with Faegre Baker Daniels LLP in Denver. For the previous six years, he was affiliated with Green Manning & Bunch, a private investment banking firm, and from 1994 to 1999 he was with Parcel, Mauro, Hultin & Spaanstra, P.C. From 1987 to 1993, Mr. Bliss served as Chief of Staff to former Colorado Governor Roy Romer.

For the previous 25 years he held the position of Executive Vice President at Kaman Corporation and President of the technology and industrial subsidiaries.

Mr. Bliss serves on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Audit Committee of Spectra Energy Partners, a NYSE-listed natural gas distribution company. He currently serves as a member of the Board for CHC/CJC Building Inc., the entity for facilitating the financing and construction of the Colorado History Center and the Ralph L. Carr Justice Complex. He is past President of the Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System and served on the Colorado State University Research Foundation.

He previously served as a Commissioner on the Colorado Judicial Discipline Commission and on the boards of Kinder Morgan Inc., KN Energy, SunSource Inc., MACTEC, United Banks of Colorado, Colorado Springs National Bank, the Colorado Springs Symphony and the Greater Denver Corporation.

Mr. Bliss was appointed to the Colorado School of Mines Board of Trustees for a four-year term beginning on January 1, 2010.
