Eric Freson

Assistant Director of Admissions – Systems

Eric is originally from Vermont. He migrated west to Colorado to attend college and enjoyed it so much he never left. He spent his late teens and early twenties competing on the Freeskiing World Tour. Eric earned his Master’s in Student Affairs from Colorado State University and spent a number of years working at Western Colorado University before joining the Mines team in 2021. His role on the Mines team is that of Assistant Director of Admissions- Systems. He’s a fixer and facilitator for the staff in the Admissions office and works behind the scenes to help enroll students. His own student experiences in Higher Education were incredibly positive and that translated to a love for working with prospective students to help them experience the same. Eric lives in Gunnison Colorado and works remotely for Mines. When not working to enroll students, you can find him doing something outside and probably trying to scare himself.
