Louisa Duley

Director of Admissions for Special Populations

Louisa has been in the Oredigger family for over 20 years. She is originally from Colorado, born and raised in Salida and went to college in Gunnison, which is one of the reasons she loves Golden and is passionate about serving our small town Colorado students. Louisa may be the smallest member of our team, but the biggest in dedication when it comes to supporting all first-year and transfer students interested in attending the Colorado School of Mines. She specializes in out of state recruitment events, overseeing undergraduate enrollment’s role in reaching Mines@150 goals, working closely with athletes and coaches, serving as the the Director of SUMMET (Mines signature Summer multicultural engineering program), and serving up her famous piping hot traditional Italian lasagna when the team needs a pick-me-up. Louisa lives in Arvada with her husband and daughter and when she’s not jetting off to warmer climate, you can catch her enjoying all that Colorado offers from skiing to hiking and boating.

  • Louisa didn’t speak English until she was 6 years old! Her first language was Italian.
  • She loves anything Justin Timberlake! Mirrors, Can’t Stop This Feeling, and Cry Me a River are her jam.
  • Her favorite get away is Aruba, although you can usually find her catching rays in Arizona on vacay time
  • Louisa loves how passionate Mines student are about “Making the World a Better Place”
