The goal of this project is to analyze how energy is been used on campus. Depending on the specific needs, the student might analyze actual campus data and/or simulate and calibrate a particular buildings on campus.

Student Preparation

Qualifications

The student should have already taken thermodynamics I or any introductory energy course. While this work is mostly numerical, I ask students to take the basic lab safety training offered by Environmental Health and Safety as there are always opportunities to help in the lab.

MENTORING PLAN

he student will be part of a undergrad research group and I meet with them every week. In this meetings we talk about research but also about CV, cover letters, interview prep, etc. Many of my students also present at GRADS and other conferences
