The student should have already taken thermodynamics I or any introductory energy course. While this work is mostly numerical, I ask students to take the basic lab safety training offered by Environmental Health and Safety as there are always opportunities to help in the lab.
TIME COMMITMENT (HRS/WK)
The student will learn how to model and analyze buildings fully electrified.
The student will be part of a undergrad research group and I meet with them every week. In this meetings we talk about research but also about CV, cover letters, interview prep, etc. Many of my students also present at GRADS and other conferences
