*Electrochemical Growth of Superconductors

Serena M. Eley
serenaeley@mines.edu
Electrodeposition is a low-cost method of growing materials. The MURF student will grow superconducting rhenium using electrodeposition and study its magnetic properties using our low temperature magnetometer. The student will also adapt the setup to growth a high-Tc superconducting cuprate, and study its low-T magnetic properties.
