Lessons and activities for K-12 STEM outreach
Michael Wakin
mwakin@mines.edu
This project aims to develop and deliver lessons and activities that make an understanding of STEM concepts attainable for K-12 students and as a result instill a greater appreciation for engineering and inspire a pursuit of STEM education and careers. Numerous opportunities for student engagement are anticipated through our ongoing work with STEM Scouts-Denver. STEM Scouts–Denver is looking to further extend its impact, particularly in underrepresented and low-income communities.
